Popularly known as Zrinjevac, in spring and summer the music pavilion (center of all action) caters for brass bands, while craft beer and food pop-ups spring up all over the square.
Zrinjevac is home to Zagreb’s first fountain completed in 1893. The fountain was designed by Hermann Bolle who helped create much of the city you see today. You’ll also find the marble Meteorological Pillar designed by Bolle at the top of the square.
The southern part of Zrinjevac holds busts of significant Croatian figures including Julije Klovic, Andrija Medulic, Fran Krsto Frankopan and Ivan Mazuranic.
