Yong He Dou Jiang make their own fresh soy milk. It’s a light and refreshing concoction that’s nothing like the stuff sold in those thick aluminum/plastic/cardboard boxes at natural food stores.
In addition to the soy milk, their steaming hot vegetable dumplings are scrumptious. On every table is a spicy pepper paste condiment, which you can mix with vinegar and soy sauce in little saucers, adding as much as you want of each to dunk the dumplings in.
Yong He Dou Jiang is very vegetarian friendly, too. The fried sponge gourd leaves and the fried crown daisy chrysanthemum are both delicious and 100 baht a plate. Order rice to go with it. They have good noodle dishes, too. This is one of our favorite restaurants in town, and it’s very close to the Chong Nonsi Skytrain stop.
