If there’s one thing westerners wish there was more of in Bangkok, it’s wine. And Thais have begun to agree with them. The city has more than enough whisky, rum, and coffee, but sometimes that’s not enough.
At the dim, cavernous WP wine pub in the Pullman Hotel, Thai, French, and other foreign customers gather to sip a glass at the bar, at tall tables, or in booths, deep in discussion. They’re not just here for the wine, although WP has six blackboards worth of choices. The tapas are good, too.
It’s quiet here during the week, but there’s usually a DJ on the weekend who doesn’t crank the volume. Wine is sold by the glass or the bottle and ranges from reasonable to pricey. They have a lot of good promotions and specials.
