The Winter Park Scenic Boat is a narrated, 1-hour cruise through the chain-of-lakes and canals of one of Orlando’s oldest and most scenic areas. The boat tour itself is an old attraction, beginning in 1938
The 18-passenger pontoon boats provide a smooth ride even when when a light wave chop is present. Boats leave from the dock on Lake Osceola and tour 3 of the 7 lakes on the chain as well as 2 of the man-made canals linking them together. Tours leave hourly.
You will be amazed at the names of the wealthy who resided on these shores in the 1920s and 1930s. Bring a camera not only for the architecture but the animals you might see, such as alligators and wading birds.
Instead of a guided tour, tent a canoe for a chain-of-lakes paddle on your own. If you have a valid Florida fishing license, bring a fishing rod. Angling is less popular than you might think.
