Waterfront Park is a 1.5-mile stretch of lawn that hugs the Willamette River and is home to a number of renowned festivals, including the Portland Saturday Market.
The park’s greenway, fountains and river provide a great strolling way to get a feel for the city. At the north end of the park, Japanese American Historical Plaza was dedicated to the memory of those who were deported to inland internment camps during World War II.
The Bowl anchors the southern end of the park, which functions as an informal amphitheater for concerts. The bowl also serves as the site of the annual Dragon Boat Races, Oregon Symphony concerts and the Waterfront Blues Festival.
