Located on O‘ahu’s North Shore across the street from the Hale‘iwa Shopping Plaza, Waialua Bakery is known for using only the freshest ingredients possible–a large majority of them local–and real meat (no cold cuts!). This is one of the best spots for paring scrumptious
sandwiches with tropical smoothies (their cookies are pretty darn good too). If you’re a smoothie lover, I’d give their Passion Pleasure or Island Paradise a try. As for sandwiches, you can’t really go wrong since their bread is freshly baked on site each and every morning, but for those who are indecisive, give their Turkey Cranberry or Avocado Sandwich a whirl. For those with a serious sweet tooth, order a serving of the banana bread pudding. Vegans and vegetarians, you’ll find plenty to like about the Waialua Bakery, including vegan cookies, just consult the staff if you have any questions about ingredients.
Note: Waialua Bakery is not easy to spot from the main road in Hale‘iwa Town, but it is visible – just adjacent to Malama Market’s parking lot.
