Valentino Santa Monica is the flagship Italian restaurant of
owner Piero Selvaggio. Vin Bar – the wine bar at the entrance of the restaurant
– is a great place to cool your heels while noshing on small plate selections
like sardines in roasted red pepper sauce or some fried calamari in aioli
sauce.
The main menu has such delicacies as lobster fettuccine with basil,
garlic and heirloom tomatoes; and artichokes salad with lemon oil and shaved
truffle cheese. The wine cellar has over 2,500 selections.
