In a game of free association, if you say “wine”, there’s a good chance the person you’re playing with will say “cheese”. And, if you’re one of those people then, as you make your way through the Jordan/Twenty Valley area, you really should stop at Upper Canada Cheese Company.
Since 2005 they have been hand-crafting cheese from the milk of Guernsey cows – and they have a loyal following among foodies. Indeed, their Niagara Gold features prominently on many of the cheese platters served at local wineries. (They make some goats milk cheeses too.)
Besides cheese you’ll find an assortment of gourmet product, treats, and gadgets.
Getting Some To Go
They also sell pre-made cheese plates to go so you can grab one and head to one of the many wineries that welcome picnickers and sit and enjoy the delicious cheese among the vines.
