Universal CityWalk is a 30-acre entertainment complex at the Universal Orlando Resort that has no admission charge. Parking is free after 6 p.m. Containing Orlando’s best concentration of nightclubs, CityWalk is free to walk around, dine in the restaurants and shop.
In fact, you have to walk through CityWalk to get to the 2 theme parks. However, the nightclubs have a cover charge. If you come to see a movie here, you’ll receive a partial rebate on the parking at the box office.
CityWalk includes a variety of themed restaurants including the world’s largest Hard Rock Cafe, NBC Sports Grill & Brew, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., The Cowfish sushi burger bar, Vivo Italian Kitchen, Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food, Hot Dog Hall of Fame and Red Oven Pizza Bakery.
These are only a few of the restaurants located in CityWalk. Overall, it contains at least two dozen eateries, some very casual. Here’s a list of them all.
The popular Blue Man Group show has been updated with new performances, new stage and new music. Possibly even more paint!
For dining and partying, a top spot is Pat O’Brien’s, a reproduction of the popular New Orleans bar. features its signature Hurricane drink and dueling pianos. Enjoy Cajun style appetizers and entrees and the big balcony overlooking City Walk.
Nightclubs offering live entertainment are themed as well. They include the Rising Star Karaoke club, Bob Marley’s Tribute to Freedom, the groove dance club and Red Coconut Club, a hip, retro dance club with a 50s-era Las Vegas-style. Some nightclubs have an age restriction of 21.
Shopping stops includes the Hard Rock Café and the Universal Studios Store, a good one-stop for licensed clothing, souvenirs, memorabilia and merchandise.
