Divers whisper about this stunning beach, located about a mile past Hanalei, in the shadows of Bali Hai. Families let keikis play in the shallows, then picnic in the shade of the ironwood trees. A thriving reef just offshore allows for easy snorkeling. Divers flock to the farther reaches of the reef to spot more illusive sea life. Outside the reef, the waves lure experienced surfers and kiteboarders.
Park at Haena Beach (about a quarter mile farther on the road) and walk back to the beach entrance.
