The Tremeti Islands are three islands in a protected marine reserve in the Adriatic Sea off the northern Gargano coast. The islands are a 40-minute hydrofoil ride from Rodi Garganico Harbor and are a popular day trip during summer. Around the islands are interesting rock formations and caves, some of which can be visited from San Domino Island.
On San Nicola Island there’s a castle and the Church of Santa Maria del Mare with a mosaic of the black Madonna. The third island, Capraia, is uninhabited and covered with Mediterranean vegetation. The sea around the islands is clear and unpolluted.
