Opened in 1949 by the legendary Big Gino, this is a wonderful budget option, with checked table clothes, chatty, friendly staff and homey décor.
The rotating menu includes wild boar with stewed tomatoes and polenta or grilled slices of beef in oil and rosemary, plus a few vegetarian dishes like baked aubergine (eggplant) with tomato sauce and cheese.
There’s a set menu (aka “tourist menu”) that includes three courses and a beverage for 18 euros.
