Ferrovie del Gargano, a private rail line, serves towns on the Gargano promontory and inland to Lucera from San Severo or Foggia, which can be reached on Italy’s national rail line. Small electric trains run along the Gargano’s north shore almost to Peschici with several stops including Rodi Garganico, near the harbor.
Trenobus connects the stations to other towns on the promontory and also connects towns in the south to the station of Manfredonia, also reached on the national train line.
Taking the Gargano train can be a fun way to see part of the promontory even if you don’t need to use it for transportation.
