Many of Puglia’s coastal towns are on the main rail line that runs along Italy’s east coast.

Frecce trains, the fastest trains, stop in Foggia, Barletta, Bari, Brindisi, and Lecce.

Intercity trains run between Foggia and Taranto. Intercity trains also stop in the above cities as well as San Severo, Trani, Bisceglie, and Molfetta.

See trenitalia for schedules and prices or buy train tickets on Rail Europe.

Trains of the Southeast is a private rail line that serves Salento towns, with connections from Bari, Lecce and Taranto.

Some towns on the Gargano Promontory are served by the private Gargano rail line that runs from San Severo to Peschici.
