When someone mentions Town, the only word that comes to mind is divine. Even First Lady Michelle Obama agrees, as she hired the restaurant’s forward-thinking chef Ed Kenney to cater a luncheon for her during APEC’s 2011 summit in Honolulu. Kenney does a bang-up job of putting a highly creative, modern twist on island fare. With locally sourced produce and a menu that changes daily, Kenney wows your taste buds with bold flavors and food made from scratch.

Whether you opt for hand-cut pasta sprinkled with anchovies, broccoli and breadcrumbs, an ever so tender flatiron steak, or tombo ahi with seasonal vegetables, Town promises not to disappoint. Don’t eat meat or fish? Request the vegetarian special or the vegan dish, and prepare to be impressed. It may end up being the tastiest vegetable-centered meal you’ve ever had.
Oh, and if you want something that tastes like a really good grilled cheese but a bit healthier (vegan), order a side of
pa’i’ai (pah-ee-i), which is pounded taro pan-fried in a light oil. And don’t worry, breakfast and their fresh pastries are just as good!

Smart casual attire and reservations are suggested–unless, of course, you want to try your luck and nab a seat at the bar or one of their outdoor tables.
