Sitting in the heart of Southern Burgundy is the town of Tournus. Tournus is on the right bank of the Saône River and has easy access off the A6 Autoroute. This makes Tournus an ideal stop during your travels.
Tournus has a number of attractions including the Hôtel Dieu, once public hospital founded in 17th century and the Saint-Philibert Abbey – the crown jewel of the Romanesque churches in the region.
The town also has weekly market on Saturday mornings.
There are two tourist offices one next to Saint-Philibert Abbey and another in the center of town in Place Carnot.
