Torridon

Tiny village in a scenically breathtaking spot

Save to my Account

The tiny village of Torridon has a premier spot at the head of an eponymous sea loch that’s flanked by the rugged outlines of various mighty mountains: the red sandstone Beinn Alligin, Ben Dearg, Liathach and Beninn Eighe.

A National Trust Countryside Centre (Achnasheen, Ross-Shire IV22 2EZ; location of this entry’s map marker) informs about local natural history – which includes red deer – and can advise on hikes.
