After kite-flying, sand-castle building, and a visit to the Penguin, walk across the street to Three Blonde Bakers (also known as 3BB) for ice cream and fudge. This is the place to go for sweet deliciousness. They have more than 20 varieties of fudge, made fresh in the store.
When you’re screaming for ice cream, it has to be Venderwendes ice cream, made at a farm and creamery in Bridgeville, Delaware. Annie’s Apple Pie, Birthday Cake, Lemon Chiffon, and Cotton Candy are among the flavors developed from the milk produced 225 Holsteins that are milked twice a day. TBB also sells gourmet chocolates and salt water taffy. If that doesn’t satisfy your taste buds, they have coffee, hot donuts, pastries, brownies, cookies, coffee cakes, crumb cakes, and more. It’s all made in the store and they should be able to package the aroma to take home as a permanent souvenir. They’re closed on Wednesday during the offseason, but open early daily in the summer.
