An institution in Hanalei since 1964, Tahiti Nui takes it back to when Kaua’i was a mellow place undiscovered by tourism.
These days, hordes of tourists (inspired by the film The Descendants) flock to this small restaurant for live nightly music, the island’s best mai tai, pizza, summer breakfasts, and traditional Hawaiian lunches and dinners.
The owners have added a weekly luau on Wednesday evenings (check website for current prices). The event offers much of the same as the other island luaus, except a more local flavor in a modest North Shore location.
