This one-stop knife shop opened in 2011 and also doubles as a tourism information center of sorts, with lots of ideas for day trips and excursions in the surrounding area.
Mostly though, its the home of the Victorinox brand store and museum, a must for fans of the famous Swiss Army Knife.
A real highlight here is the opportunity to make a knife of your own and have it engraved for a mere CHF30. An interactive display explains the history of the brand and its products, plus there are amusing tidbits about its cult status, no doubt helped by its association with 80s TV classic MacGyver.
In recent years the brand has expanded into quality outdoor clothing and even fragrances, but the showpiece is probably its incredibly versatile and indispensable Huntsman and Swiss Champ knives, the latter with 33 different functions.
The center is located in the town of Brunnen, which is at the intersection of Lake Lucerne and Lake Uri, and can also be used as a starting/finishing point for the Swiss Path.
