Hands-down the best spa in the Dells – and possibly the entire state. Hidden in a 26-acre pine forest behind The Wilderness, the scenic, peaceful Sundara Spa offers a wealth of services.
There are traditional spa/salon treatments like massages, facials, body wraps and mani-pedis, along with more unusual ones based on Ayurvedic-inspired principles, such as the Purifying Gemstone Energy Massage, which moves along your body’s meridians to help clear blockages and balance your chakras.
There are also cutting-edge anti-aging facial treatments that use micro-currents and LED lights to lift and tone muscles. (Ask to look at the before-and-after photos that show impressive results after a single treatment.)
Booking any service affords access to the outdoor infinity pool and Sundara’s signature Purifying Bath Ritual, which involves scrubbing your body with a Cambrian sandstone polish, then using a eucalyptus steam room, cold plunge pool and essential oil-infused whirlpool.
Sundara has a fairly extensive spa cuisine menu, with lunch, snack and dinner choices, so you won’t go hungry if you stay all day. There’s also a nice selection of smoothies, raw pressed juices, wine and cocktails.
Don’t forget Sundara Inn has wonderfully comfy rooms if you decide to stay overnight, too.
Guests must be 18 or older. Those 16 or 17 may use the spa if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
