The Stowe Mountain Resort offers 40 miles of skiing trails, as well as a range of other outdoor activities for year round adventure. The resort is set on the slopes of Mount Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak, and offers trails from beginner to expert. Colorado-based Vail resorts purchased Stowe Mountain Resort in 2017, including it in their Epic season pass.
For non-skiers, or those just looking to take a break from the slopes, the resort has an indoor rock climbing center, a zip line and treetop top ropes course, as well as plenty of hiking trails. Their gondola carries skiers up the slopes in the winter, and runs during the summer for a scenic ride to the top of Mount Mansfield.
The lodge itself is the only ski-in, ski-out lodging in New England, with 300 guest rooms and suites, heated pool and full-service spa. They offer two dining options on-site, the Solstice Restaurant and Hourglass Lounge, as well as easy access to all the restaurants and apres-ski destinations located on the Mountain Road.
