Pack a lunch and see the canyon with in all its grandeur along the Rim Trail East and West of the historic village area. The tail stretches 8 miles west to Hermits Rest with 8 breathtaking viewpoints, and 4 miles east from Vercamps Visitor Center to Pipe Creek Vista. Walk as much a you can and soak up the views of the vast formations in the heart of the canyon. Walk or take the free shuttle that makes all the stops. Take a break and jump on anytime, especially at stretches of trail away from the rim. Easy walking but take water and sun protection. Hermits Rest at the western end has a snack bar and bathrooms, bathrooms at Hopi Point, water and bathrooms at Yavapai Observation Point and Museum.
