The National Park says, “Leave the driving to us.” Three shuttle routes connect all points on the South Rim from Hermits Rest to Yaki Point and a fourth runs to hotels and the airport in Tusayan. Grab a map and plan your day. The Kaibab Trail Loop (25 min. one-way) begins at the Visitor Center and runs to Yaki Point, a popular sunset spot. Buses run every 15 minutes during the day. The Village Loop (25 min. one-way) circles through the Village between the Hermits Rest Transfer Station and the Visitor Center. The Hermits Rest Loop (40 min. one-way) connects the viewpoints west of the Village, so you can hike till you’re tired, then hop a ride. When the Hermits Rest shuttle doesn’t run, (Dec. through Feb.) private cars are allowed on Hermit Road. The Tusayan Loop (20 min. one-way) runs every
15 min. from 8 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. from the park Visitors Center with stops at IMAX Theater/ R.P.’s Stage Stop, Best Western Grand Canyon Squire Inn, The Grand Hotel, and Big E Steakhouse and Saloon. It runs
May 7–Oct. 9.
