South Kensington holds its head high among culture seekers. The popular neighbourhood is home to the Natural History Museum; the Science Museum; the Victoria and Albert Museum; and the Royal Albert Hall. South Ken, as it’s affectionately known, is one of London’s most dignified areas. Wander around the side streets to see some of London’s most grand residences.
Vive la France
Many of these glamorous homes are occupied by French expats who settle near the French secondary school opposite the Natural History Museum. That’s brought an array of French bookshops and cafes, including the ultra-special Aux Merveilleux de Fred.
The pedestrianized streets near the tube have a variety of restaurants and cafes – great fun on a sunny day and perfect with kids.
