It’s not Colorado, but it’s not bad for Missouri. Snow Creek first opened in 1985 has grown in the hearts of those who need their wintertime white powder fix.
The little mountain has 30 acres of skiable terrain, a 300 foot vertical drop, 12 runs and 7 chairlifts. The longest run is about a fifth of a mile.
The season varies, of course, based on Mother Nature, but 60 snowmaking machines kick in when the temperature drops below 28 degrees.
Snowboard and ski lessons are available, along with equipment rental, a cafeteria and midnight ski packages.
The inner tube hill, known as Tornado Alley, has six lanes, a 700 foot run, and a conveyor belt to get you back to the top and do it all over again.
