The sign by the road, which catches your attention, simply reads “Silver City Gifts.” But over the front door, it’s “Wilderness Adventures & Supplies.”

Owners Andy and Diana Bogaudo have stocked this small shop chock-full of souvenir items ranging from T-shirts, sweatshirts and warm socks to wind chimes to sun-catchers to knick-knacks. They’re a wealth of information about the area, particularly the state park, since they’d worked there for years and love to talk to visitors about their Lake Superior area.

“This is our retirement entertainment,” says Diana. “We’ve done it for 18 years.”
