Malls in Thailand take on a whole new meaning compared to malls in the west. Icy cold and air conditioned, locals flock here just to get out of the heat. One of Bangkok’s glitziest and most visited shopping malls, Paragon has large food courts, dozens of restaurants, a multi-cineplex movie theater, a gourmet market, and much more, making it easy to spend hours inside. Siam Paragon features all sorts of daily events, from pop star concerts to Chinese New Year celebrations to plenty of fairs, promotions, and other events that often take place in its large outside courtyard, filled with fountains, large TV screens, and lots of youngsters taking selfies.
There is just about every brand name shop in Paragon that one could imagine, from Gucci to Chanel to Givenchy and Luis Vuitton, plus there are entire floors full of electronics, books, and clothing. The gourmet market in the basement is one of Thailand’s premier food shops, with import items from around the world, and it is surrounded by endless restaurants and a mammoth food court, so you certainly won’t go hungry.
