If you love to be in the thick of things, Sherwood Forest Campground & RV Park may be just what you’re looking for. The campground sits in a wooded parcel of land a mere three blocks north of Hwy. 13/23 (the street that becomes Broadway in downtown Dells), and a few steps northwest of Pirate’s Cove.

Brad and Becky Gussel run the campground; Brad’s parents started it in 1967 with 12 sites. Today there are +200 sites, cottages and rental units, plus volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, a game room and more.

Guests especially love the large kiddie splash pad and outdoor movie theater. In 2013, a deep-fryer was added so the campground can offer appetizers like chicken tenders, mini corn dogs and tacos.
