Sequoia Park and Zoo

Wild animals housed beneath the redwoods

No other zoo on the planet can boast its home in a 70-acre old-growth redwood park. Kids adore the primates, birds, and petting zoo. Time your visit to be there during the red panda feeding, or the otter feeding. There’s a decent peccary exhibit as well as a fun livestock area.

There’s a cafe onsite, which is a fine choice before heading out to the forest for a hike. Inspire your kids to walk farther with the promise of playgrounds (there are two in the park). The creek area is quite lovely for a picnic.
