Founded in 1957, Sedona Arts Center is the oldest arts organization in northern Arizona. It supports the arts in Sedona through education, development, and appreciation. SAC offers more than 250 classes and workshops, and hosts revolving art exhibits as well as special events throughout the year. Located on Art Barn Road, just past Uptown Sedona on 89A, the center includes the Members Art Gallery, with new exhibits monthly featuring local artists’ work for sale. The School of Art offers visual arts workshops, short trips, and field expeditions led by nationally-known artists. Courses include drawing, painting, ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, photography and others. On First Friday Artwalks, check out the new exhibit and wine reception at the Members Art Gallery from 5pm-8pm.
