Cheerful Mexican music fills the air outside San Antonio Mexican Restaurant, a great dining spot across from Dells Bells.
The restaurant features typical Mexican dishes such as burritos, fajitas, quasadillas and tacos, plus more unique items like soups and “alambres,” a type of skillet dish. Breakfast is available all day long, featuring south-of-the-border staples such as eggs with Mexican sausage. On weekends, a few specials are available such as barbacoa and menudos, or tripe soup.
Bonus: You an enjoy frosty margaritas and cold beer here.
The eatery’s interior is bright, clean and cheery. Service is prompt and friendly. The food is fresh and not greasy, as is sometimes the case with Mexican fare. A tiny candy cane may be left with your bill. All in all, a solid dining choice.
