Located on the 49th floor of the Bitexco Financial Tower, the Saigon Skydeck is the place to go to observe the rapid transformation of this historic city. Opened in 2010, the Bitexco Tower quickly became Saigon’s chic new icon. Its tapered design, supposedly imitating the shape of a lotus, boasts a helipad that protrudes from near the building’s summit, and it is easily spotted from all over the city.

The Skydeck itself offers a 360 degree view of the city centre and the Saigon River snaking its way south. Telescopes and photos of significant buildings help visitors to identify many of Saigon’s major sights, including the Hotel de Ville and Ben Thanh Market.

On the floor above the Skydeck is a café, which does not have telescopes or markers of significant buildings, nor a 360 degree view, but enjoying a coffee here can save you the $10 admission fee to the Skydeck itself.
