It’s a dining and entertainment treat to be repeated often. Go for a drink and fabulous live music or browse the interesting sports memorabilia and a game on tv. You will definitely stay for the food which is traditional southern home cooking with family recipes in honor of the owner’s grandmother Ruby Lee.

Jazz or blues by such popular regional groups as Earl Williams or Deas Guys will pack the house on weekend evenings when a cover charge applies. Reservations are a good idea for this hot spot which is somewhat small and in an unlikely old shopping area on the north end of the island.

Shrimp and okra gumbo or she crab soup are traditional southern delights. Fried chicken or pulled pork should not be missed, and go for the mac and cheese and collards to round out the meal.

Plenty of wine, beer and cocktail choices add to the experience.
