Dinner at the RowHouse Restaurant is a multi-course event where fixed-price meals reflect a frequently changing menu showcasing plenty of fresh, seasonal ingredients – including herbs and more grown in a small back door garden. Operating in a narrow 1876 row house oozing with vintage charm, the restaurant has a casual yet elegant feel, offers suggested wine pairings, and serves dinner Wednesday-Saturday evenings. On one summer weekend, spinach salad combined red onion and candied pecans with pickled orange and orange vinaigrette. Carrot citrus bisque with parsley ice cream followed. Guests could then choose from three entrees: sweet corn and sage gnocchi, seared swordfish in lemon caper butter sauce, or beef ‘puttanesca’ with Asiago smashed potatoes. Shortbread cookies with sorbet, roasted apricots with brulee apricot curd and pistachio brittle provided a sweet finish to a memorable meal.
