More than one hundred species live at Rolling Hills Zoo, a gorgeous wildlife park where animals have plenty of room to roam amid 60 beautifully landscaped acres. In addition to a rare white camel or an ‘ornery aardvark,’ you can view six breeds of bears, five different goat breeds and 10 deer varieties. Four owl breeds soar through the trees and rhinoceros come in several colors. But ‘RHZ’ is also dedicated to science education as well as conservation and animal welfare projects, beginning with Fast Facts about individual species, on its web site. A separate Museum at Rolling Hills features the interactive education center, Hideaway Hollow, and exhibits, from art shows to robotic bugs. There are separate admissions for the beautifully landscaped wildlife park and the museum.
