Since the 1970s, people the world over have become more and more obsessed with martial arts, and the ancient fighting technique of Muay Thai has likewise enjoyed a rise in popularity on an international scale. Many foreigners come to Thailand to study and practice Thai boxing, and Muay Thai teachers often spend time abroad in Europe to give workshops and offer training.
