Dinosaurs, whales, insects, butterflies

Save to my Account

An eclectic museum collection ranging from natural history specimens to insects, dinosaurs—including Queensland’s own Muttaburrasaurus—and more is on show at the Queensland Museum.

The museum has permanent and changing exhibitions that aim to showcase Queensland’s past, present and future, through exhibitions, displays and public programs (including special programs for kids).

Children will love the blue whale model that hangs above the entrance and the hands-on interactive Sciencentre on Level 1.

Admission is free, except to the Sciencentre and to any special exhibitions.  The museum is just across the Victoria Bridge from the city centre, adjacent to South Bank Parklands and the Queensland Cultural Centre.
