In the cool mountain village of Munduk, which was historically mountain retreat to Dutch colonists, is Puri Lumbung, a unique property which soundly celebrates Balinese culture and environment. Promoted as an eco-resort, Puri Lumbung embraces the conservation of the Munduk area and engages the local community in activities that maintain the rainforest and preserve water, as well as celebrating their cultural heritage.
Taking its name, which means “Rice Barn Palaces” from the structures that were traditionally used to store rice and which have been adapted to provide a different style of accommodation.
In addition to the cottage accommodation, the property features a restaurant, an open-air buffet venue, a couple of bars and an open-air building for social acitivites dance performances , yoga classes and meditation, as well as a small spa area.
The Warung Kopi Bali Restaurant serves traditional Balinese, Indonesian and vegetarian cuisine, and several Western dishes.
