Beach in a Sheltered Cove

Porto Badisco is a beach in a sheltered cove about 10 kilometers south of Otranto on the Adriatic Coast. Because the bay is sheltered, it’s a good place for swimming and snorkeling.

The cove has a small sandy beach and rocky cliffs. There’s also a pine grove nearby where you can escape the heat or enjoy a picnic and a basic restaurant where you can get snacks or meals. Porto Badisco is known for its sea urchins and is one of the best places in Puglia to try these delicacies straight from the sea.

A little farther south are the baths and beach of Santa Cesarea Terme.
