This shopping/restaurant/entertainment complex on I-Drive is located next to the Orange County Convention Center, which hosts many of the country’s largest business shows. Pointe Orlando is virtually across the street from it. Pointe Orlando draws conventioneers and visitors staying on I-Drive as well as a devoted Orlando following.
Dining is varied with names sometimes interesting and obscure. Such as The Capital Grille, Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar, B.B. King’s Blues Club, Funky Monkey Bistro & Bar, Taverna Opa, The Oceanaire Seafood Room, Maggiano’s Little Italy and Redrock Canyon Grill.
Pointe Orlando also is a major entertainment hub. It features an Improv Comedy Club & Dinner Theatre, Blue Martini with live music nightly, B.B. King’s Blues Club, Minus5° Ice Bar and, for youngsters, a Monkey Joe’s bounce house.
For store hours, check the calendar here. Regardless of the season, none of the stores open until noon.
Pointe Orlando also houses one of Orlando’s few full-sized Imax theatres at Regal Cinemas Stadium 20 + IMAX. It is the place to go when new 3-D films are released.
