Painting in the open air

Plein Air Festival—the name means “in the open air”—celebrates the works created by 30 of the country’s finest artists during this week-long tribute to Sedona each October. Artists with their paints and easels can be found on street corners, at trailheads, and at resorts, painting their surroundings. Paintings created throughout the week are available at the public art sale held the last day of the event.
