You have several art museums to choose from in the Valley, but when you want a diverse experience that spans cultures, styles and centuries, the Phoenix Art Museum is the place to go. The more than 18,000 works here include American, Asian, European, Latin American, modern, contemporary and fashion design, and you can see artists like Rembrandt, Monet, Norman Rockwell and Annie Leibowitz on display.
The museum caters to all ages with activities, gallery talks and family-friendly events like Low & Slow: The Art of the Lowrider. Kids ages 6-10 can request a KidPack, containing activity cards, puzzles, looking activities and other creative challenges, in the lobby. Teens “over 12, under 21,” don’t get lost in the shuffle here. Activities designed specifically for them allow them to experiment with watercolor, collages, digital photography and 3-D art.
