Pho Grand

One of the many ethnic restaurants along South Grand, Pho Grand is arguably the best Vietnamese restaurant in the city.

The bahn cuon or rice flour crepes stuffed with ground pork, mushroom and onions are outstanding.

There’s a great selection of vegetarian dishes along with your basic seafood, chicken and beef dishes.

Bring a group of friends and share the campfire pot, which is basically a Vietnamese fondue.

On Friday and Saturday nights, you better call for reservations or plan on waiting outside on the porch for an hour or more.

Although most Americans pronounce “pho” as “foe,” the proper Vietnamese pronunciation is “fuh.” Amaze your friends with this tidbit of global awareness.
