LA’s love affair with the automobile is on full display at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Encompassing more than 300,000 square feet, the museum’s exhibits showcase more than 150 rare and classic cars, trucks and motorcycles.
The May Family Discovery Center on the third floor interactive experiences designed to explain the basic scientific principles behind the fundamental functions of a car. It also has three contains three vehicles visitors can sit: a Ford Model T, a Kawasaki police motorcycle and a Lola Indy racecar.
The all-glass penthouse conference center on the fourth floor is available for special events and functions.The museum’s parking lot is located on Fairfax, south of Wilshire Blvd. Parking is $8 maximum with paid admission, for up to 4 hours.
