If you can’t get enough of gooey butter cake, that partially baked St. Louis dessert, stop at Park Avenue Coffee in Lafayette Square.
With about 75 flavors, including such weirdos as maple bacon, this coffee shop received national attention from the Food Network. As a result, pumpkin caramel pecan is now one of the top sellers, along with white chocolate raspberry.
And yes, there’s pretty good coffee and loose leaf tea served here from some of the best baristas in St. Louis.
The original location is in Lafayette Square, but you can find another on The Hill and another on North Tenth Street downtown.
