This place was undergoing a total renovation when I visited in spring 2013. However, the owner promised me that nothing would be changing in terms of the menu and philosophy toward food.

Despite being only steps from the tourist hoards in Piazza della Signoria, guests can count on a great value, traditional meal from the daily menu – the one menu, scrawled out only hours earlier with the dishes of the day, famously carried from table to table.

It’s pretty old school here, often filled with locals, very little service dillydally and a scarcity of English, but rest assured that every effort will be made to get a good meal put in front of you.
