Facing tiny Piazza Passera, with the word “trippa” in the name, you know Il Magazzino is going to have a meat focus. They do things to tripe here that are worthy of multi-page magazine photo spreads. And it’s not just pretty plates, this is where tripe-craving locals like to eat, though the word is out, so expect a 50/50 split with tripe-y tourists as well.
They also do rabbit, osso buco (similar to a stew with veal shanks and vegetables in a white wine broth), and beef.
The primi list has a few non-meat options, such as linguine al pesto and cabbage. Note, some of the pasta portions are BIG.
