Olympic Sculpture Park

The highbrow highlight of the Seattle waterfront

Olympic Sculpture Park is a prime spot to soak up Seattle’s city, water and mountain views. If you love art, all the better. Enjoy works from Teresita Fernández, Jaume Plensa, Richard Serra and more. Alexander Calder’s The Eagle makes a fine photo-op backdrop even (maybe especially) on a gray day.

There’s an indoor pavilion with a pop-up cafe. Hourlong public tours, offered seasonally, are a good opportunity to learn more about the artworks. The park is part of the Seattle Art Museum. It’s about a mile from Pike Place Market and a few blocks from Seattle Center, a nice stroll in either direction.
