Naval Station Norfolk, the world’s largest naval station, supports 75 ships and 134 aircraft. You may catch sight of some of the huge vessels bellied up to the piers on your 45-minute bus tour of the base conducted by Navy personnel. These tours depart year-round from the  base’s Tour and Information Center next to gate 5.   Always check ahead to be sure security issues haven’t canceled a tour. For a non-Navy tour, come aboard the Victory Rover, a ship that cruises past the base.

Tip: Everyone age 18 and older must have a valid photo ID. Cash only for tour tickets.
